OK, I know we all hate rules, but they ARE necessary. I'll try to keep them few and simple.
Out of Character
- ALWAYS be respectful of all other members, especially staff
- no swearing. EVER. under ANY circumstance.
- no fighting/arguing, and if you disagree with someone, please be civil about it. If you have a problem, talk to staff.
- if you have an issue with how the site is run, please take it to the questions/comments board, and staff will consider the issue and how best to resolve it. Be warned, unreasonable complaints will have consequences.
- please keep all OOC content reasonable... we do allow mature topics but ask that you are MATURE about them.
Challenges
- challenges are to be posted in "the stone circle". If responded to within 72 hours, the challenge becomes a fight. If not responded to, the challenger is successful. See "fights" below for the rules governing the fight.
- generally a challenge is constructed something like "I, (challenger's name), do hereby challenge (challenge subject's name) to fight for (territory/pack member name)." It's also a good idea to specify whether the fight would be to the death or not.
- only "alpha" personalities may challenge, and only Pack Alphas may BE challenged.
Steals
- steals are to be posted in "the stone circle". If responded to within 72 hours, the steal is blocked, at which point the thief may opt to fight for the wolf he or she is trying to steal.
- a steal is constructed as a riddle, alluding to the name of the wolf being stolen, the name of the thief, and the name of the wolf being stolen FROM. Pack heirs cannot be stolen, Alphas' mates cannot be stolen. Only pack members from "beta" status down may be stolen.
- only Pack Alphas may steal, an only Pack Alphas may be stolen FROM.
Fights
- fights are to be conducted in "the stone circle"
- if at any stage a member goes 72 hours or more without responding to a fight thread, the fight is considered forfeited, and the other member is considered the winner
- in all fights, wolves have 5 moves, out of which they may choose to have dodges (where THEY dodge blows from their opponents), misses (where their opponent misses), and/or attacks (where they attack their opponent). Their total number of dodges and misses may not exceed their opponent's number of attacks. Those who only dodge or have their opponents miss will be considered cheats and the fight will go their opponent's way.
- a member of staff not related to the fight will decide the outcome after both parties have had all 5 of their moves
Breeding and Birthing
- may be conducted anywhere, though typically will be conducted on the wolf's home territory
- any wolf may breed with any other wolf, including force-breeding, though force-breeding or stealing another wolf's mate may result in a fight
- wolves without territories will be forced to breed and birth in dangerous places, and therefore will be more likely to lose one or more cubs
- when the breeding is complete, stats of both parents must be PM'ed to the administrator, who will then decide how many pups, what gender, what colour, and whether the pups survive, based on parents' stats and the environments available to those parents
- ALL BREEDINGS must be reported, even if pups are not desired. In real life, any breeding may result in a pregnancy, so in-game, any breeding may result in a pregnancy
General In-Character
- powerplaying? NOT ON. Touching, nipping, pushing etc are ok, but dictating what any character other than your own does is not acceptable
- swearing is ok, levels depending upon the wolf's personality and the situation. Excessive swearing has consequences.
- any "graphic" type threads may BE graphic, but this must be indicated in the title. That goes for breeding, fighting, general threads with lots of bad language... basically anything that demands a higher than PG-13 rating.
- please ensure you consider the season when you dictate the weather in your threads, but be aware that Frostfall is wrapped in an eternal blanket of snow, so it is ALWAYS cold. It's just sometimes colder than other times.
We reserve the right to add/change/remove rules as necessary. Any and all changes are effective immediately. Not knowing/being up to date on the rules will not be accepted as an excuse for breaking them.
